CHICAGO (AP) — The Philadelphia Phillies have activated right-hander reliever Chad Durbin from the 15-day disabled list, and designated reliever Nelson Figueroa for assignment.
The moves were made Tuesday by the Phillies, whose first game since the All-Star break is Thursday night at Chicago.
Durbin is 0-1 with a 3.31 ERA in 29 appearances this season, holding opponents to a .237 average.
Figueroa had his contract purchased on June 24 to take Durbin’s spot on the roster. The righty was 2-1 with a 3.46 ERA in 13 appearances for Philadelphia.
