MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — A Washington Department of Labor & Industries spokesman says a 56-year-old man has died from injuries he suffered when a tractor tire fell on him while he worked at a Mount Vernon farm equipment company.
The man was not immediately identified.
Spokesman Hector Castro says the man died Tuesday of injuries suffered last Friday while working at Barnette Implement Company. Castro says a tractor tire can weigh as much as 1,500 pounds.
The injured man was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Labor & Industries is investigating the accident.
