MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — A spokesman for West Virginia’s basketball team says coach Bob Huggins is going to be in the hospital longer than expected.

Bryant Messerly says Huggins was still hospitalized Sunday and is expected to be released in the next “couple days.” He says he does not know if Huggins has experienced complications.

Huggins had been expected to be released Saturday. He broke four broken ribs in a fall in his Las Vegas hotel room Friday.

Messerly says the coach is being held for observation.
