MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have arrived in Mankato for training camp with the bitter loss to New Orleans in the NFC title game still fresh in their minds and no idea if Brett Favre will be back for another run at a Super Bowl.

The Vikings started trickling in to this college town on Thursday in preparation for their first training camp practice on Friday afternoon.

If Favre returns, all 22 starters will be back from a team that lost in overtime to the Saints in January. But Favre remains at home in Mississippi, recovering from ankle surgery. He has not told the team if he will be back for a 20th NFL season.

Most players say they don’t mind if Favre skips camp and joins them when they return to Minneapolis.
