Clark County’s own Drake Kemper has been named Crush of the Month for June by the online teen magazine Miss Moxie. Kemper, a 19-year-old actor and comedian who lives in Toluca Lake, Calif., and Felida, was interviewed by Miss Moxie (http://www.missmoxieonline.com) about how he got into show business, his future aspirations and even his idea of the perfect first date.

“It’s really cool, actually. It’s kind of random. I was like, really? I feel kind of honored,” Kemper said.

Kemper recently appeared on an episode of the Nickelodeon show “Victorious.” He’s also been episodes of shows such as “FlashForward” and “Entourage.”

Kemper is signed on for the film “A Fighting Chance.” It was supposed to start filming in March, but production appears to have been delayed, Kemper said. Actor Martin Landau also is attached to the film, according to the Internet Movie Database.

Kemper is auditioning and would love to appear on shows such as “Modern Family,” “Parenthood” and “Californication.” His ideal, though, is to have his own TV show. He and his best friends are writing a sitcom about teenagers in Hollywood, and how some of them fall prey to big egos and delusions of A-list grandeur.
