The latest exhibit at Art on the Boulevard takes art fans all over the world. Mitch Baird, who is displaying oil paintings at the gallery through June 27, is known for work that captures a variety of everyday moments, including rivers in the Pacific Northwest and street scenes of Europe. He works to capture natural light and color harmony in his paintings.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

The exhibit is just one of several weekend entertainment options in Clark County and Portland. Others include a concert from the Southwest Washington Wind Symphony, Hockinson Fun Days and a headlining set from Sting in Portland.

1. Symphony draws inspiration from Asia

The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony’s latest concert features music from around the world.

The 55-member concert band will perform works from Asia, including excerpts from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” and “Variations on a Korean Folksong” by John Barnes Chance.

2. Sting teams up with orchestra for local show

Sting, former lead singer of the Police, has teamed up with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for a tour, which includes a stop tonight in Portland.

Sting will perform hits such as “Roxanne” and “Every Breath You Take” that have been reinterpreted for the orchestral arrangement.

3. Community celebration continues in Hockinson

The Hockinson Fun Days community celebration includes a variety of family activities this weekend.

Events: Pancake breakfast, 7 a.m. to noon today. The breakfast is at Fire District 3, 17718 N.E. 159th St., Hockinson. Tickets $5 per person and $15 per family. Free shuttle service is available from Hockinson High School. Family movie night, 8 tonight at Hockinson High School, 16819 N.E. 159th St., Brush Prairie. Additional events and information are available online.

4. Comedian’s Brand of comedy on display in ‘Greek&#8217

Russell Brand reprises his role as rock star Aldous Snow in “Get Him to the Greek,” in theaters this weekend. Brand first played Snow in the 2008 film “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” In “Greek,” the wild singer is to be escorted by a record company intern (Jonah Hill) to the first stop of his concert tour. But when Snow finds out that his true love is in California, he is determined to win her back before taking the stage.
