Linda Allen, principal at Chief Umtuch Middle School, will become Battle Ground Public Schools’ new personnel director — the district’s first since the position became vacant following a double school levy failure in 2006.

Taking over as Chief Umtuch principal will be David Cresap, current assistant principal there.

The proposed changes were announced Monday by Superintendent Shonny Bria and are contingent on final school board approval on June 18.

Allen, a third-generation district employee, served as Chief Umtuch principal the past two years after four years as principal at the old Lewisville Middle School. Cresap was assistant principal at Lewisville, before moving to Chief Umtuch three years ago.

Both are graduates of Battle Ground High School.
