BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) — Aric Almirola took the lead with less than 10 laps to go then held off late charges from Todd Bodine and Kyle Busch to win the NASCAR Trucks Series race on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway.

Almirola survived a wild stretch in a race that featured a record 20 lead changes at the two-mile oval. Almirola grabbed the final one then went on a mad dash to the finish to collect his second victory in the series. He won earlier this year at Dover.

Pole sitter Austin Dillon, the grandson of longtime NASCAR owner Richard Childress, ran near the front early but was penalized for a pit box penalty and finished fifth.

Nelson Piquet Jr., the son of former Formula One star Nelson Piquet, shook off a late-race spin and finished 10th.

The race was delayed 40 minutes for rain. When the skies cleared, the fireworks started.
