EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A 23-year-old cottage Grove man was sentenced to more than 40 years in prison for sexual abuse of 13 underage girls and other crimes over a two-year period.
Brandon Edward Burge was convicted last month by a Lane County jury and sentenced Monday in Eugene.
The prosecutor says Burge sought out vulnerable victims on the streets of downtown Eugene and plied them with alcohol.
The Register-Guard reports several of the girls contracted sexually transmitted diseases and at least two pregnancies ended in abortion.
