SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Giants ace Tim Lincecum left Wednesday’s game after a line drive hit him in the back of the right shoulder in the sixth inning.

Miguel Tejada’s shot turned into an inning-ending groundout for Baltimore.

Lincecum crouched close to the ground for a moment, but the two-time Cy Young Award winner walked off the field under his own power.

Jeremy Affeldt started the seventh inning.

Lincecum struck out 10, the 23rd time in his career he’s reached double-digit figures in strikeouts.
