INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Larry Bird wants the Indiana Pacers to win now and says he’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen next season.

The Pacers president says he’s looking to add a point guard in Thursday night’s NBA draft and he is mulling over possible trades. Indiana has the 10th pick in the first round.

Bird said Tuesday the team has discussed potential trades with many teams but there is nothing “concrete” yet.

Bird acknowledges that the Pacers have looked at some power forwards and centers. Baylor’s Ekpe Udoh made a second trip to Indianapolis late last week because Bird wanted to take a longer look at Udoh’s skills. Bird also says he likes Butler forward Gordon Hayward.
