OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Federal authorities have indicted two convicted sex offenders, alleging that the men failed to register in Nebraska.

A news release from the office of U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg says 25-year-old Robin Douglas Jr. didn’t register when he went to Kimball, Neb., on May 13. A court document says he went several places in the state to sell magazines and was arrested on May 24 in Ralston.

He had been convicted in 2001 in Roseburg, Ore., of attempted sexual assault.

A federal court document says 21-year-old Tye Gonzales failed to register after he moved to Nebraska in October. He had been convicted of rape in New York.

Neither man has a publicly listed phone in Nebraska. Calls to their federal public defenders were not immediately returned Friday.
