Clark County Assessor Linda Franklin and Ben Gassaway, who was county assessor from 1979 to 2002, are hosting a campaign kickoff event for Democrat Janet Seekins a county senior residential appraiser who is running to succeed Franklin. The event is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Atrium Lounge, 606 Broadway St. The suggested donation is $50 but any amount will be accepted.
