SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Would-be Oregon voters can now register online.

Starting Monday, Oregon becomes the fourth state to allow residents to use the Internet to sign up to vote. The others are Arizona, Washington and Kansas. Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown says the system will be a cheaper, more accurate and more secure way to reach voters, especially military members, the elderly and the young.

Oregon adults can register by going to the Internet site: www.oregonvotes.org. They will be required to have a valid Oregon driver’s license, permit or identification card.
