HOCKINSON — Dr. C. Tannert Pinney, a Hockinson resident who recently spent two weeks in Haiti as part of a volunteer medical team, will describe his experience and show a slide show today at Hockinson Middle School.

A school assembly is set for 9 a.m. at the school, 15916 N.E. 182nd Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.

“The exciting component of this assembly is that students will be able to see the direct result of their fund raising efforts,” said principal Peter Rozencranz. “We are going to open this up to the Hockinson Community to attend, since we know it was a community effort that backed our students’ fundraising.”

The school raised $6,300 for Project Helping Hands, a nonprofit medical mission that Pinney traveled with to Haiti.
