CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Roy Halladay has made a neat first impression with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies’ new ace pitched two hitless innings against the New York Yankees in his spring training debut Thursday. Halladay struck out Jorge Posada, Nick Swisher and Randy Winn.

The only runner to reach base against Halladay came on an error.

The Phillies got Halladay from Toronto as part of a four-team trade in December.
