CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) — Officials say three people with ties to the American consulate were killed in a Mexican border city.

A Chihuahua state prosecutors’ spokesman says a couple was shot to death in their car near the Santa Fe International bridge in Ciudad Juarez. A baby was found unharmed in the back seat.

Tuexi says the woman had a credential identifying her as a consulate employee. The man had a document identifying him as a U.S. citizen.

Tuexi said Sunday that nobody has claimed the bodies killed Saturday. The baby is in the custody of Mexican social services.
