Free child development screenings offered

LA CENTER — Children who live in the La Center School District but have not yet entered kindergarten can receive free developmental screenings.

The event takes place April 9. Appointments are required.

Screenings are available for children who are 3 to 5 years old. Children will be screened in speech, language, cognitive and motor development. Results are confidential and are discussed with parents following the screening.

The event is sponsored by the school district and Educational Service District 112.
