Battle Ground fireworks: Four organizations that operate a total of three fireworks stands in the city of Battle Ground around the Fourth of July holiday will automatically receive permits this year and not need to go through the lottery process. The Battle Ground Rose Float Committee, the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce and the North County Community Food Bank and Lions Club, which operate one stand together, will receive permits. A story on C1 of Tuesday’s Columbian omitted one group.

Matrix report: A story on Tuesday’s front page gave the wrong first name for Vancouver Police Assistant Chief Nannette Kistler.

Dining Out: The name of the coffee shop at 316 E. Main St., Battle Ground, is Old Town Battle Grounds Coffee House. An incorrect name was printed on pages F1 and F25 of the March 5 Weekend and Beyond section.
