PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles have signed newly acquired defensive end Darryl Tapp to a three-year contract.
The contract was announced Thursday, a day after Tapp joined Philadelphia in a trade that sent defensive end Chris Clemons and a fourth-round pick in next month’s draft to Seattle.
A second-round draft pick by the Seahawks in 2006, Tapp has 18 sacks, two interceptions, eight forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 65 games.
Tapp will compete for a starting spot at left defensive end. Pro Bowl end Trent Cole starts on the right side.
