Oregon high school teacher faces 35 sex charges

PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon high school teacher and coach is facing 35 sex charges involving four teenage girls.

An Umatilla County grand jury in Pendleton indicted 37-year-old Kevin Mathew Nice on charges that included sodomy, unlawful sexual penetration and sexual abuse.

Police arrested Nice without incident Friday in Union County. He was being held at the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton.

Prosecutors say Nice had sexual contact with four high school-age girls Nice knew as a teacher and coach at Pilot Rock High School. The incidents alleged in the indictment occurred from September 2007 through November 2009.

No other details were released.
