SEATTLE (AP) — A Bellevue, Wash., man has been identified as the pilot behind a single-engine plane carrying two people that crashed near a house close to Morton, Wash., southwest of Mount Rainier last Friday.
The Seattle Times reports 39-year-old Shane Sullivan’s family identified him on Saturday as the man who died in the crash. Another unidentified woman was injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Lewis County sheriff’s deputies say the Cirrus SR22 clipped several trees before crashing into the driveway of a house along State Highway 508 west of Morton on Friday evening.
Sullivan’s wife, Heather, says her husband loved flying and was returning home from a business trip.
