SHELTON, Wash. (AP) — Human remains have been found in the wreckage of plane belonging to a Lake Roesiger man who went missing in October.

Now authorities are trying to determine if the remains are those of 51-year-old Gordon Last.

He vanished after taking off from Harvey Field in Snohomish County on Oct. 10, and an extensive search failed to find anything.

Chief Manson County sheriff’s deputy Dean Byrd says the aircraft with the remains inside were found Friday evening by brush workers in a remote, wooded area about 10 miles north of Shelton and west of Potlatch State Park.

Last’s family traveled there Saturday and confirmed the plane was his.
