CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko was scratched from Thursday night’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays because of a sore neck.
Konerko leads the majors with 12 homers.
Mark Kotsay played first base for Chicago and Alex Rios was moved into Konerko’s cleanup spot in the batting order. Manager Ozzie Guillen said he expected Konerko to return for Friday night’s game against the Blue Jays.
