LOS ANGELES (AP) — Prosecutors say they will not file criminal charges against former NFL running back Corey Dillon, who was arrested earlier this month after an argument with his wife.

Deputy District Attorney Mara McIlvain said Thursday that there is insufficient evidence to show that Dillon’s wife was injured.

The sheriff’s department says Dillon and his wife, Desiree Antoine-Dillon, were arguing over their pending divorce and child custody on May 1 when she called 911, saying she had been assaulted by her husband.

She later told authorities her husband never hit her and indicated she did not want to press charges.

Prosecutors have yet to determine whether to bring charges against Dillon involving his arrest last month for allegedly driving drunk near Calabasas.

Dillon played for the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots.
