CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A U.S. District Judge has dismissed suspended driver Jeremy Mayfield’s lawsuit against NASCAR.
Mayfield was suspended indefinitely last year for failing a random drug test. NASCAR has said he tested positive for methamphetamines. Mayfield sued in an attempt to be reinstated.
Judge Graham Mullen threw out the case Tuesday in Charlotte, saying that Mayfield had waived his right to pursue claims as part of becoming a NASCAR driver.
