Anglers may keep four hatchery-origin spring chinook salmon at Wind River and Drano Lake in Skamania County beginning Saturday.

Little White Salmon National Fish Hatchery needs 1,000 spring chinook for spawning, and had almost 3,800 on Tuesday. Carson National Fish Hatchery on the Wind needs 1,500 and had 356 through Monday.

Jacks count as part of the four-fish limit.

The limit applies through June 30. Drano Lake will be closed May 26, June 2 and June 9 to accommodate tribal netting.

South Toutle, Green — The Department of Fish and Wildlife also has opened the lower portions of the South Fork of the Toutle and Green rivers two weeks early for fishing for hatchery steelhead.

Beginning Saturday, the South Toutle will be open from the mouth to the 4700 Road bridge and the Green from the mouth to 400 feet downstream of the water intake at the upper end of the hatchery.

The daily limit will be two hatchery steelhead. Selective gear rules will apply through June 4.

The entire South Toutle and Green River upstream to the 2800 Road bridge will open beginning June 5.
