Blustery conditions did not deter visitors Sunday from viewing the Cathlapotle Plankhouse at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Three Chinookan artists showed artwork and carvings over the weekend. The building is a full-scale replica of a Chinookan plankhouse. The spot is what remains of the town of Cathlapotle, a Chinookan village encountered by Lewis and Clark.
