ISTANBUL (AP) — Red Bull will try out a new rear aerodynamic part at the Turkish Grand Prix to help maintain its lead over closest rivals McLaren and Ferrari.
Formula One leader Mark Webber says the Austrian team will debut its F-duct wing –a device that produces greater speed on straights — in Friday practice.
The Australian driver, who is looking for a third straight victory, expects McLaren to be Red Bull’s nearest challenger, although he is not discounting Ferrari or Mercedes’ chances as racing returns to the calendar’s regular circuits following Monaco’s street race.
Michael Schumacher hopes his Mercedes car’s upgrades means “we have another little step of development that moves us closer to this group” of leaders.
