Two men who reportedly exchanged gunfire early Wednesday have been identified by the Vancouver Police Department as Rickie Landacre, 58, and Chuck Slanacker, 30.

The two are being treated at area hospitals, according to a press release from the police department. A 24-year-old woman, Sharita Martin, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery in connection with the case.

Landacre, the resident of the home in the 1400 block of Northeast 131st Avenue where the incident took place, said he met a woman earlier in the evening and brought her back to the house. Shortly after she left, Slanacker came to the door, displayed a handgun and allegedly shot Landacre.

Landacre had a handgun close by and allegedly returned fire, hitting Slanacker multiple times, police said.

It wasn’t immediately known whether there will be further arrests. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
