MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Police suspect a Medford teenager’s death may be a result of a prescription drug overdose.
The Mail Tribune reports the 13-year-old middle school student was found on Saturday at the home of the parents of one of his friends.
Medford police Sgt. Mike Budreau says the prescription medication was a narcotic. An autopsy is scheduled for this week.
Budreau says the prescription medication was acquired and consumed hours before the boy died, and did not belong to the boy.
