NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Clippers starting center Chris Kaman has sprained his left ankle in the first quarter of Los Angeles’ game against the New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday night.

Kaman apparently was injured when Hornets point guard Chris Paul stole the ball from him on the Clippers’ offensive end. The injury adds to a growing list for the struggling Clippers.

Leading scorer Eric Gordon is missing his first game since injuring his left shoulder at Utah on Saturday. Gordon is averaging 21.1 points and 4.7 assists.

Also out for Los Angeles is reserve guard Randy Foye, who is missing his sixth straight game with a sore left hamstring.

However, point guard Baron Davis is playing for the first time in five games.
