LA PLATA, Argentina (AP) — Argentina will face Bolivia on July 1 at La Plata in the opener of the Copa America, the South American championship.
Argentina will be in Group A with Bolivia, Colombia and Japan, according to Thursday’s draw.
Defending champion Brazil is in Group B with Ecuador, Paraguay and Venezuela.
Uruguay is in Group C with Chile, Mexico and Peru.
Japan and Mexico are guest nations in the 12-team tournament. The final is July 24 in Buenos Aires.
