OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — A man who was the financial officer for an American Legion post in Lacey has been accused of writing himself $8,000 in checks.

The Olympian reports 58-year-old Chris Allen Parker of Roy is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Thurston County Superior Court on a theft charge.
