Skills Center to host VIP tour, luncheon

The Clark County Skills Center will open its doors to all interested residents and officials for a VIP tour and luncheon on Nov. 19.

Starting at 11 a.m., Director Dennis Kampe will lead a free, all-campus tour of 13 programs to show off classrooms, state-of-the-art equipment and technology and students at work.

Following the tour, students from the award-winning Skills Center Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts Program will serve a special gourmet lunch in the center’s restaurant. Cost is $5.

The Skills Center is at 12200 N.E. 28th St. It is owned and operated by ten Southwest Washington school districts, providing technical and professional training programs to prepare students for work.
