PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) — Casey Therriault threw for 331 yards and five touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Jackson State to victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff 52-30 on Saturday.
The Tigers (7-4, 5-3 Southwestern) grabbed a fast start when Therriault connected with Marcellos Wilder for a TD midway through the first quarter.
But the Golden Lions (5-5, 4-4) quickly came back in the half thanks in part to a pair of scoring runs by Stephen Jones and another by Josh Boudreaux. They led 24-17 at halftime.
After the break, the Golden Lions scored again when Justin Billings ran in from 19 yards out.
