SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane County medical examiner’s office has identified the armed man shot by police on Friday as 29-year-old Ethan Corporon.
Spokane police shot and killed Corporon after he fired a shotgun at a home, then led officers through a busy neighborhood while firing his weapon at them and into the air.
The Spokane County sheriff’s office has said the man refused orders to drop the weapon and was fired upon by six patrolmen.
KHQ-TV reports Corporon died of multiple gunshot wounds to the trunk and lower abdomen.
