MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Bail has been set at $250,000 for a 50-year-old man accused of striking and killing a pedestrian in a drunken-driving crash in Missoula.
Brian Holm of Missoula appeared in Justice Court on Wednesday on a charge of vehicular homicide while under the influence stemming from the Nov. 9 crash that killed 24-year-old Brian Beaver of Aberdeen, Wash.
Police say Beaver, his stepbrother and a friend were walking on a sidewalk at about 10:45 p.m. when Beaver was struck. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The three men were on their way to Yellowstone National Park and were staying in Missoula for the night.
