Texas-Arlington beats Houston Baptist 74-65

HOUSTON (AP) — LaMarcus Reed and Bo Ingram each scored 19 points Saturday night to lead Texas-Arlington to a 74-65 victory over Houston Baptist.

Ingram also had 10 rebounds for the Mavericks (3-1).

Texas-Arlington went on a 13-4 run in the second half to take control. The spurt was highlighted by two Darius Richardson 3-pointers and one by Ingram.

Andrew Gonzalez led Houston Baptist (0-3) with 27 points, including 14-for-14 from the free-throw line. Terry Bembry added 15 points and a team-high nine rebounds for the Huskies.

Texas-Arlington committed 24 turnovers, but shot 49 percent from the field while holding Houston Baptist to 30 percent.
