MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin will know what happened in games by Ohio State and Michigan State before the fifth-ranked Badgers take the field Saturday against Northwestern.

Wisconsin (10-1, 6-1) players say they’re focused only on the Wildcats (7-4, 3-4) and not a potential Big Ten title. Northwestern upset Wisconsin 33-31 in Evanston last year and the Badgers are quick to say that loss still stings.

Wisconsin holds the inside track to the Big Ten’s automatic BCS berth to the Rose Bowl because the Badgers are the highest ranked conference team in the BCS standings.

If Ohio State loses, Michigan State holds a tiebreaker over Wisconsin. The Badgers hold the tiebreaker over the Buckeyes.
