TORONTO (AP) — The Colorado Rapids have acquired midfielder Joseph Nane from Toronto FC for a third-round pick in the 2012 draft.
The 22-year-old Nane made 11 appearances in his rookie season, starting eight times.
Nane signed a developmental contract with Toronto FC on April 5 and made his debut five days later in a 4-1 loss at New England.
It was the latest move for Toronto FC, which last week waived five players and acquired midfielder Nathan Sturgis from the Vancouver Whitecaps for a first-round pick.
