Eastern Washington beats Weber State 35-24

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 337 yards and four touchdowns to lead Eastern Washington to a 35-24 win over Weber State on Saturday.

The Eagles (3-2, 2-1 Big Sky) trailed 17-14 in the third quarter before scoring 21 unanswered points.

Mitchell completed 23 of 36 passes, and Brandon Kaufman had five receptions for 138 yards for Eastern Washington. Ashton Gant caught five passes for 110 yards and two TDs.

Weber State (2-3, 1-2) quarterback Cameron Higgins completed 25 of 44 passes for 315 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. Two of Higgins’ interceptions occurred inside the Eagles’ 10-yard line.

Eastern Washington was without running back Taiwan Jones, whose 238.8 all-purpose yards per game leads the FCS. Jones suffered an abdominal contusion against Montana State last week.

Mike Phillips had six catches for 165 yards and a touchdown for Weber State.
