MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — Yamill County, Oregon, authorities say a 62-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of intoxicants — twice during just 13 hours.
Sheriff Jack Crabtree says James Arthur Lingren was arrested by a Newberg-Dundee police officer Tuesday evening, then again by a Yamhill County sheriff’s deputy at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Crabtree says the Newberg officer followed protocol in releasing Lingren after citing him to appear in court. However, he says Lingren was found driving in McMinnville the next morning. He was taken to the Yamhill County Jail and is to be arraigned Thursday.
