Friends, families and classmates of Mountain View High School students Robert Gonzalez and Mindy Doster have planned a candlelight vigil Saturday to honor the students, who died last week.

The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. at Ellsworth Park, next to Ellsworth Elementary School, 512 S.E. Ellsworth Road, said district spokeswoman Carol Fenstermacher.

Gonzales, 15, died Sept. 28 in a car accident on Southeast French Road, along the north side of state Highway 14 west of Ellsworth Road in Vancouver.

Doster, 17, died Sept. 30 when she was struck by a freight train while walking next to railroad tracks about a fifth-mile west of the Interstate 205 Bridge.
