PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A small plane piloted by a 26-year-old Washington man has made a safe emergency landing in a field near a school in southwest Portland.

Police say Conrad Mcgreal of Snohomish was unhurt Sunday night when he set the single-engine plane down near the Robert Gray Middle School.

Police say that the plane reportedly ran out of fuel.

Witnesses report that the plane circled a couple of times before landing.
