PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Two members of the Washington State University football team have been arrested after Pullman police found 38 marijuana plants growing in the house the players and two other people rented.

The Spokesman Review reports that Jamal Atofau, a redshirt freshman backup linebacker, and Andre Barrington, a redshirt freshman who is academically ineligible this semester, were arrested along with two others.

WSU spokesman Bill Stevens say Atofau has been suspended from the team.

All four individuals were booked and released from jail. They were arrested on suspicion of violating the uniformed controlled substance act, the severity of which depends on the weight of the marijuana seized. That will be determined by drying the marijuana seized, then weighing it.
