ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is getting healthy.

The former No. 1 pick practiced without restrictions Wednesday and could be seen throwing sharp, 15-yard routes to his teammates.

Stafford has not played since Week 1 when he was knocked out of the game on a sack by Chicago’s Julius Peppers. His right shoulder was separated.

Stafford is expected to start Detroit’s next game on Oct. 31 at home against Washington. The Lions (1-5) have a bye this week, and backup quarterback Shaun Hill is out with a broken arm.

Injuries limited Stafford to playing in 10 games last year.
