PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The father of Kyron Horman argues in newly filed court papers that the boy’s stepmother should be barred from custody of the couple’s daughter.

Kaine Horman included an exhibit of graphic, sexually-explicit text messages between Terri Horman and one of Kaine Horman’s former high school classmates in an effort to show Terri Horman is unfit to care for the couple’s daughter, Kiara.

Kaine Horman’s son, 8-year-old Kyron, has been missing since June 4. The investigation into his disappearance has centered on Terri Horman, but police have not called her a suspect or person of interest.

Kaine Horman filed for divorce and filed a restraining order against Terri Horman after police said she tried to hire a landscaper to kill him in December 2009.
