Winters’ 3 TDs lead Harvard past Dartmouth 30-14

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Quarterback Collie Winters rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another score to lead Harvard to a 30-14 win over Dartmouth on Saturday.

Winters scored on runs of 1 and 5 yards in the first quarter to give the Crimson (5-2, 3-1 Ivy League) a 14-0 lead. He connected with Adam Chrissis on a 10-yard touchdown, pushing Harvard’s margin to 24 points in the second.

Winters, who only gained three yards on the ground on nine carries, completed 19 of 31 passes for 212 yards for the Crimson. Treavor Scales led Harvard with 124 yards rushing on 18 carries, while Gino Gordon ran for 93 yards on 17 attempts.

The Big Green (4-3, 1-3) didn’t score until late in the first half when Shawn Abuhoff returned an interception 82 yards for a score.

David Mothander made field goals from 27 and 35 yards away for Harvard. Chrissis caught seven passes for 86 yards.
