LONDON (AP) — Three Pakistan players have been charged by cricket’s governing body in the wake of the match-fixing scandal that has stunned the sport.

The International Cricket Council said Thursday it has notified Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir. The charges relate to “alleged irregular behavior” during the fourth test against England last week. For now, the players are barred from all forms of cricket.

ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat says the players face penalties up to a life ban. He adds that his group will “not tolerate corruption in cricket.”
